    Sweating is a natural activity caused by sweat glands that are seated deep in the skin. There are millions of sweat glands in our bodies except on the nails, lips and the glands. Sweat’s primary function is to keep the body cool. People who sweat less or do not sweat at all experience a lot of body heat being generated. Not everyone’s body can handle that much heat easily, and people who do not sweat much are at risk of suffering from heatstroke or hyperpyrexia.

    The primary cause of the lack of sweating is dehydration. A person may sweat less if there is diarrhea, or has been vomiting a lot. Not drinking enough amounts of water during summer is also a major cause not sweating enough.

    When a person suffers from burns, the sweat glands, and the skin are injured severely. As a result, the sweat glands generate little or no sweat in such situations. Another situation where a person does not sweat is when he has been exercising for a prolonged period without drinking water. These are mostly due to medical reasons. People who suffer from a lack of sweat even when exercising in hot weather could face medical complications like atopic dermatitis, leprosy, scleroderma and radiodermatitis. In such scenarios, it is essential to visit a doctor and seek medical help. In some cases, the side effects of medication can cause such problems, and they are usually not a concern.

    Natural Treatment for People Suffering from Lack of Sweat

    The simplest solution is to keep drinking sufficient amounts of water. People who sweat less should be careful while exercising and make sure they stop if their body overheats. Heat strokes and hyperpyrexia are complications that occur when doing a lot of strenuous physical work in the heat. People suffering from a lack of sweat should try to be in an air conditioned space as much as possible. Sponging the skin with a towel dipped in cool water as many times as possible throughout the day is a great way to prevent any health hazards.
