Singapore might rank amongst the smallest countries in the world, but don’t let the size fool you. It is actually one of the most beautiful and unique cities that you could ever travel to.

What makes Singapore so special is that it has managed to garner a beautiful mix of traditional and modern styles and has perfectly managed to fuse the best of the East and the West. It might be dominated by Malays, Indians and Chinese; but the city is actually home to people from all sorts of backgrounds and from all parts of the world.

Singapore is also home to numerous historical remains from the WWII, remains that were left behind by the Imperial Japanese Army.

Apart from its stunning mix of modern constructions and old world areas and a host of tourist attractions, the city offers its visitors with 18 beautiful golf courses, 70 world class hotels,  classical symphonies, Chinese operas, jazz venues and live music venues. Irrespective of what you feel like seeing or doing, Singapore always offers you with unlimited choices to choose from. Things like shopping, adventure activities, nature walks and water sports are also known to be extremely famous here.

Asian food is offered an entirely new meaning here and you can find countless restaurants in each and every area of the city. There are all sorts of cuisines to try as well as countless local delights to choose from.

The city enjoys a warm tropical climate where the weather stays calm and consistent all through the year. The average temperatures hover around 27 degrees C, but the relative humidity can often exceed 90% at night. Most of the rain falls between the months of November – January in short bursts. December is believed to be the wettest month in the city while February is usually the sunniest.

Hiring a car is not necessary while in the city. Actually, you’re better off using public transportation in the city. The roads are almost always full of jams and parking is literally non-existent in the main areas of the city. The presence of an excellent public transportation system and a world class MRT also negates the need for having your own mode of transportation.
